About
Dior & London
Ever since its beginnings, the House of Dior has woven a profound friendship with the British capital, an inexhaustible source of inspiration, synonymous with elegance and refinement.
In 1947, the founding couturier chose London to present his very first collection in England. The show was held at the Savoy Hotel, then at the French Embassy in the presence of Queen Elizabeth II.
About
Dior & Harrods
A fervent admirer of England, Christian Dior developed, from the early 1950s, a powerful and unbreakable bond with Harrods, London’s epicenter of British elegance.
In 1953, the House opened its first section in the department store. A few months later, Christian Dior chose Harrods to stage the show presenting the silhouettes of his Spring 1954 collection.
A complicity renewed over the decades, through exclusive collaborations. In 2013, and again in 2019, two original new pop-up stores at Harrods celebrated the House’s heritage and the excellence of its savoir-faire.
In 2022, the story of this passionate alliance opens a new chapter with The Fabulous World of Dior, celebrating the affinities that have united Dior and Harrods for over seventy years.
